As is the saying: “all good things must come to an end.” With a heavy heart, Shutterdown is bidding farewell to Michael Montane – whose effervescent attitude and skill behind the drums will be sorely missed. Mike came on board in 2010 after the band released its self-titled EP. Since then, his drive and fills helped bring a more tangible, visceral groove to Shutterdown’s sound.

While we regret Mike’s departure, we are completely on board with where the gears in his life are shifting as he focuses on work and family. Best of luck to you, Mike, in all you do!

But have no fear, Shutterdown fans – Max and Ant’isa have lots in the works for Summer ’12. There will be gigs a-plenty, fundraising for the album… and maybe a new video or two. Check back often for updates and thank you for your support!!
